Angelique Hawkes

LAC, NCC Behavioral Health Clinician

Angelique graduated from Walden University, with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has experience working with individuals and couples of all ages and backgrounds.

Angelique wants to be part of removing the hesitation and stigma that frequently surrounds mental health and well-being. She sees that individuals often know their ultimate goals, and couples are often saying the same thing as one another, with seemingly invisible and insurmountable roadblocks in the way. She hopes that, as a counselor, she can improve individuals’ insights of themselves and couples’ understanding of each other. Her belief is that counseling should be more than just a safe place to vent emotions. She focuses on providing concrete tools that can be used outside sessions, to continue that sense of growth and security.

As part of a multi-technique practice, she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients restructure their thinking, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help client’s gain awareness and control in their environment, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to implement fast, real-world strategies, for seeing desired changes as soon as possible.
