Darcy McNeece

Licensed Associate Counselor, EMDR Trained Therapist

Darcy McNeece is a clinical therapist, specializing in telehealth service delivery with a particular focus on young children, preteens, and caregiver collaboration. She holds a Master of Science degree from Northern Arizona University and is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in the state of Arizona. Since 2020, Darcy has provided telehealth therapy, developing specialized expertise in virtual client engagement, building strong therapeutic relationships, and supporting meaningful caregiver involvement.

Her clinical approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in a person-centered framework. Darcy is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and draws from a range of evidence-based, developmentally appropriate modalities, including motivational interviewing, cognitive-based interventions, and expressive therapies. She strives to meet each client where they are, creating a space that feels safe, collaborative, and responsive to individual needs.

Darcy has extensive experience working across the lifespan. Her clinical niche includes working with children—particularly young children and preteens—as well as addressing religious trauma across age groups. She supports clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, school-related challenges, bullying (including both individuals who have been bullied and those exhibiting bullying behaviors), low self-esteem, and emotional dysregulation. She often incorporates expressive approaches such as art, play, and music to help clients engage more fully and communicate in ways that feel natural and accessible, especially in early developmental stages.

Her academic and clinical interests focus on early childhood mental health, caregiver perceptions of the therapeutic process, and the effectiveness of telehealth in delivering play-based interventions. She is especially interested in how telehealth and expressive approaches can strengthen caregiver involvement, deepen engagement, and support positive developmental and emotional outcomes for young children.

Darcy’s work emphasizes collaboration, insight, and the integration of emotional, cognitive, and physiological experiences to support meaningful and lasting growth. She is committed to helping clients and families feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
