Who We Are

Committed to Justice and Equity for BIPOC

At Trauma Recovery Services of Arizona (TRSAZ), we are committed to fostering meaningful and equitable partnerships that drive impactful change in the communities we serve. Our mission is to support trauma survivors, particularly BIPOC folks, women and Veterans, in their healing journeys, and we believe that collaboration with like-minded organizations is essential to achieving this goal. As an Indigenous Founded and led firm, we know that positive relationships with shared values can disrupt health inequities for future generations.

Historical injustices and systemic inequalities that have disproportionately affected Indigenous and Black communities. These injustices include the removal from ancestral lands, continued experiences of racism, historical trauma, health inequities, loss of access to capital and mental health issues are more pronounced in communities of color due to these compounded traumas and systemic barriers.

Our Partnership Process

A Way to Help Out

As we enter into partnerships, we prioritize a shared commitment to addressing these inequities through actionable steps. This is not just a statement—it’s a commitment that we expect to see reflected in your organization’s budget, strategic plan, and actions

1. Initial Conversations

We begin every partnership with an open and transparent conversation about our shared values and goals. This includes a discussion on your organization’s stance on historical inequities and your ongoing efforts to address them.

2. Partnership Agreement

Our partnership agreement is rooted in principles of harm reduction and mutual respect. It outlines the terms of our collaboration, including how we will work together and how we will publicly announce our partnership.

3. Ongoing Collaboration

Throughout our partnership, we will maintain regular communication and work together on joint initiatives. We will also publicly acknowledge our partnership, ensuring that our communities know about the important work we are doing together.

4. Healthy Termination

Not all partnerships are meant to last forever, and that’s okay. Our agreement includes provisions for ending our relationship with minimal harm and respects the work we’ve done together, leaving a positive impact on the communities we serve.
